through dying breath
hung and flung
wasting milliseconds
moments of tense withering potency
going and gloom
giveaway to the matyrs load
vision brought to carry
from the sacrifice of holy ancients
echoes of ghouls of perdition
invisible and uncondemned
pores and vents of being
filled with drama
hovering transfixed between will and vanity
encumbered light and stairs
lifted to the throne
of the Almighty
the eyes of the Lord
counting from sunrise
to the last senile shadow
relief from tribulation
from fetters of a forgotten world
confronted by Lucifer's end
death
fruits and plants
give poisoned sweetness
serpent handed a crown
human bellies
descended from Eden's debacle
was there ever joy
before the charming of the snake
minds polluted
was there ever water
healing and peace
the choking of carnality
volcanic lust filled mental crevices
dead are we all
flesh is gone
pain haunts like a beaten child
for a drop of water
an exclamation of praise
prised from demons on fasting days.
