Poetry can be so like scrabble
Some use big words and some small-
I once played scrabble with a professor
And I really had a ball-
If you can beat me I'll never play again
As I have been to university he said-
So we sat to play a game of scrabble
A day he'd wished he'd been gardening instead-
He used the most longest words to find
I used simple terminologies and every day sort-
You have not a chance of winning he said
Well I won with simple words I might report-
With often longest well chosen words
So many strive to write a poem ever grand-
But mostly they are only ever understood
By a chosen few through out the land-
But simple terminologies known by all
With sincerity written from the soul-
Telling how it is so all can read
Often smaller words all laced in gold-
Well .. He grabbed that scrabble board
And he ripped it into pieces small-
And then threw it in the garbage bin
Then threw all the letters down the hall-
I then sat back and laughed so very loud
His face was the brightest ever red-
Never again in this life will I ever
Play a game of scrabble is what he said-
