Poetic Verses

Go, Then, Forth

Resounding word hearken unto mine ear
Trepidation unrelenting to self
Worth, present and future, dissolve to fear
The 'morrow lay stagnant upon the shelf
Lo, the beast growl truth with gnashing of teeth,
this idleness that occupy such fate,
Enshrouded spirit that cowers beneath
strength and fortitude that awaken late
Long the hours pass, to fill in idle chore
Defeat rage rampant in heart and in soul
Hark, metaphorical, tap on yon door
to fill self worth and become again whole
Seek strength to press onward into dark night
to go, then, forth without giving up fight
