The Proclamation of Joy
Stop weeping from your eyes,
No sorrow from your voice;
And anguish from your sighs,
Just be glad and rejoice.
Give an ear to the Lord,
Heed to His Holy Word;
Let it not be ignored,
Cling to as it is heard.
For the Lord paid a price,
By hanging on the cross;
And for His sacrifice,
Life suffered for a loss.
But Christ rose from the grave,
To allow us to live;
With salvation to save,
With power to forgive.
So we have been set free,
From enslavement of sin;
Opening eyes to see,
When He abides within.
Proclamation of joy,
That the future has hope;
So that we may deploy,
Beyond the present scope.
