 Rain Rain Rain

The rain never stops
Mother Nature shops
Rounding it up each day
Buying it by the ton
The wall paint they strip
As the rain drops drip
Keeping kids from going out and having fun...

Thunder keeps booming
Tree leaves keep zooming
Past my window to the world
Safe and snug inside
I'd rather be in my safety zone
Staying dry as a bone
As the rain pelters everything far and wide...

That old Mister Sun,
The rain has him on the run
He's hiding out somewhere
In New Mexico or Arizona
Breezes keep blowing
While leaves pretend it's snowing
I'm not goin' out there
You can't make me, I ain't gonna....

I can see my sidewalk, pitter patter
As raindrops scatter
While the storm moves on
Still spattering and sputtering
Heading to pester far off hills
To give other people thrills
Eventually it'll be gone
Leaving me to my complaining and muttering....
