 THE   CHILD   IN   ME

The child in me
Will live forever
She will survive
And smile in pleasure
Time slips by
We age and grow
Don't notice that
Burn still the magic glow

Hearts are tied
With happiness and all
How did we come
To stand so tall
Those silly wrinkles
Are laughter lines
And each one tells
Of the path of times

Brooding doesn't do us good
Black clouds hang o'er our head
Think of the next minute in time
Not what you should have done instead
Forever hold tight the child within
Celebrate life's riches all in all
For tomorrow is another day
Life is great—let's have a ball!
