Confession of Faith
A day bleak and dreary,
I am weak and weary;
As I look towards the east,
I feel more like a beast.
With no rational thought,
No power have I got;
As I stretch out to reach,
And no wisdom to teach.
Where do I need to turn,
Helping others to learn;
To have the knowledge of,
The Lord and of His love.
His Word is tried and true,
With knowing through and through;
To strengthen faith within,
To turn away from sin.
I make a small request,
Getting it off my chest;
Take me from foolish things,
Nonsense that this world brings.
All I look for in wealth,
Is family and health;
And knowing God is fair,
With such a love and care.
