 Romance in a Marriage

Thirty-two years of wedded bliss, even longer since our first kiss.
Yet the flame of passion burns even hotter now than in the past.
Many couples question us, wondering how we make romance last?
I had to think for a bit, wishing to summon some instructional wit.

We never had to work at being a pair;  when I need you, you are there.
Romance seems to spontaneously grow in the fertile fields of our love.
No effort is involved as our fire burns without even the slightest shove.
That light touch across my thigh, that certain sexy look in your eye.

I smile sometimes when I see you, remembering the time our love was new.
Excitement surges throughout my body as my hand touches your hand.
I never have a doubt that, as time passes, that our love will still stand.
The fire sparks within my heart, knowing that our ways will never part.

It is that combination of love and trust,  romance in a marriage is a must.
Gentle down the river of time floats the mood that kindles my passion.
Moving with ease, we touch, we kiss; our love will never be out of fashion.
When I  look across the room and see my bride, my heart leaps deep inside.
