He called himself old father McGee
I first met him camped under a tree-
Away away out back along the track
Where almost everything is free-
I was traveling looking for a life
And to escape all of life's strife-
My horse,dog and I under the sky
Dreaming one day of a beautiful wife-
One day out there old father McGee
He in conversation said to me-
Always travel light of load up life's road
And you just might find your destiny-
So from there on through life I traveled
And the years slowly they unraveled-
And life it went by and so did I
As in many things in life I dabbled-
well over time life was hard for me
Since the day I first met father McGee-
But I kept going,The wind kept blowing
and I dreamed my dream of destiny-
Over time the many places I have been
And the many things I've done and seen-
Looking for that one spot that I'd love a lot
And as well true love supreme-
Well .. Over time older I got it's true
After all in life I'd been through-
But I have in mind a spot I'd love a lot
And now .. A true love like very few-
Now it's together onward we both go
Towards the dreams we've got and know-
And together as one we'll get it done
And find that spot that we love so-
As one we both together have a destiny
And always our love for each other will be-
One day I suppose , I grow and name a rose
And call it ............. Father McGee-
