4lbs 12oz 19 inches long
Mother and baby are both fine
and Grandma is floating.
A Mothers Hands
A pair of hands
so delicate and frail
Who would have imagined
to be a tiny ones life's sail?
This journey is entered
with anticipated fear
Will these hands be wise
with this tiny one so dear
The hands that will
wipe away every tear
and chase away monsters
that cause such fear
With hands that will
guide along life's trail
With love and understanding
for one so frail.
With hands strong enough
to hold generations
Yet sensitive enough
to feel every sensation
This tiny ones future
rest upon these very hands
To mold and guide
until alone they can stand
The destiny of your future
rests in my very hands
I pray you will always
walk free upon this land
These precious little ones,
the grandest gift from above,
are the responsibility of all
to shelter, guide and love.
These hands were made
and filled with God's creation
Just trust in Him
for our future generation.
