Greed gorges on more greed.
Self-interest steers decisions.
Discrimination deeply destroys.
Bullying breaks trusted bonds.
Misinformation manipulates.
Pride is a perilous precipice.
Publicity is a pernicious poison.
Racism is rusted out relationships.
Who can resist such forces?
Who can implement change?
Who can deliver unity?
Who can promote humility?
Who can represent modesty?
Who can speak with truthfulness?
Who can give priority to others?
Who can provide hope for the poor?
Then I saw the heaven's door fly open,
Christ returning with heaven's choir,
Man's crumbling empires now expire,
Christ will rule with righteous power.
And on that day every knee will bow,
Acknowledging that Jesus is Lord of all.
Dear friend are you waiting for this,
Or will you be compelled to fall?
