Glimpse of red, smatter of gold
Begin to unravel, begin to unfold.
Hint of brown, wisp of grey,
Melancholy eyes scurry away.
Bare bone branches stretch for the sky,
Life goes on though the day must die.
Fire sweeps briefly the grassy green glade,
Delusions of grandeur begin to fade.
