 Discovering Paradise
Shadows on the windows drift away
Like embers on a fire
Sparkling like another day
Now free of the barbed wire
Yet Intrigue makes you stray
To world of unknown desire

A fearing of tomorrow
A belief in what you heard
And like a sheep you follow
Along with the herd
Off you go, off you go, off you go
To follow the absurd

Not far now my friend, no, not far
Just over the next hill
Just follow the northern star
To where the waters lay deathly still
Like life within a jar
With a tranquilizer pill

Memories are all they were
Flashbacks of a time
Where miracles occur
And everything was fine
But that now is a blur
When you crossed the line.
