Samraida is a precious girl I chose to sponsor on St. Nicholas Day, December 19, 2008. She is two years old and lives in the Philippines with her family. She is the most precious Christmas Angel gift I could ever receive. Bless her heart!
The parents of Samraida are working hand-in-hand to raise their children in a loving and peaceful home. Her father is a driver who also sometimes works as a laborer in order to support the family. Despite his efforts though, his meager monthly income barely suffices for their sustenance and other daily household needs. Sanira, the mother, stays at home to keep house and look after the children. Home to them is a small structure made of light materials, with no access to safe water, electricity and sanitary toilet.
Samraida is the youngest child and as such, is the center of attention. She is a lovable toddler who is starting to speak. She knows her family members' names. She has smooth skin and noticeably curly hair. Samraida is still being breastfed. She also eats rice with chicken or fish broth. Red, blue and yellow are the colors she likes most.
My sponsorship will provide Samraida and her family opportunities to improve their life situation in the future.
