Well it looks like
I wont be home this year
To celebrate with the family
The Holy Christmas cheer
I will miss the love you
built this family upon
I will feel it in my heart
even though I am gone
The awesome memories
you built over the years
I now remember
with joyful tears
The excitement in
the little ones eyes
that sparkles brighter
than any star in the skies
Oh the aroma of all the good food
especially the cookies and pies
These memories I hold deep within
that now brings tears to my eyes
But most of all I find I miss
the Church service of Christmas Eve
When we all paused the busyness
and came together and as a family
For on the most Holiest of Days
my memories will take their start
It is because of you Mom and Dad
I hold them so dear in my heart
But on this day I am proud
to do my military regimes
But know I will be with you all
If Only In My Dreams
