Bleeding Heart
A seed planted in the past
seasoned its way up at last,
illusions gracing a dream
came to fore in a whim.
The fast beating heart
eager for a daily start
amid remote a miracle
still longing after all.
Rainbows claim the sky
manifesting rain went by
nimbus clouds fade away
casting a glow of wonderful day.
Adrenalin surge emotion
fear for onset of delusion,
suppressed unto deeper core
to bury the truth even more.
But alas! Curt was the aura
of splendid quality of karma,
words are weapons so strong
crushed a heart aching so long.
The acquired virtue of attitude
bearing plenty of gratitude
denied effort to whine and whimper
on things I have no control over.
Of sinking pain and weary,
I listen to my heart intently,
mustering the funny work of art;
beneath smile is a bleeding heart.
