WARNING:
My poetry is impossible to categorize, because it is full of opposites.
I write about reality and fantasy, darkness and light, man and beasts,
good and evil, nature and civilization, dreams and nightmares, predators
and prey, and reflections on human nature. The only poems I do not write
are ooshy, gooshy love poems. *gag* I will spare you from that!
I've had this website for over a year now and only recently (Jan 2nd, 2009)
have I found out that almost all my poems have individual comments on them,
(With "I Am a Wolf" getting most of them.) and I spent the last half-hour
reading them. If you are a "fan" on my poetry and left comments be assured
that I have read them now and am pleased and motivated by your words to
continue writing and posting my poetry.
My poetry is mostly about the Natural "real" world and the wild beings that
still dwell there - especially the Wolves - even as mankind continues
his God-appointed duty of "dominating" (read polluting, logging, trashing,
poisoning, and "controlling" every other creature except ourselves) the Earth.
However, I also write about adventure, the joy of life, the nature of Evil,
war, God, mythical creatures, the end of the world, and things that only the
human imagination can come up with. My poetry contains NO swear words
or sex scenes, although I do include some descriptions of violence,
thought it's not too extreme.
I guess I would consider myself to be a dark poet, but just as the dark of
space always has stars, so it is also with my poetry.
RECENT UPDATES:
I'm starting to post PICTURES along with most of my poetry. I'm so glad I
figured out how to do that.
I have deleted "Within the Night-a poem about Evil" because I think
"Shadow Dragon" is sufficient enough for dark poetry fans. Plus they were
too much alike. I'm also going to try not to write a wolf poem this year
because I have so many already.
I'm also polishing up some of my older poems and adding some new stanzas
to a few. (I just tacked more to "Shadow Dragon".) I keep messing
with "Dragon Wise, Dragon Old" which is one of my longest, best poems
and I can't stop going over it.
And now I've gotten over a writer's block and have many new poems
coming your way for the new year.
Feel free to sign my guest-book and comment on individual poems.
I won't email you if you leave yours but I will read and cherish each
and every comment you all leave.
THANKS FOR YOUR WORDS OF SUPPORT!
