It seemed just like yesterday I walked into your room.
As you were calling out to Jesus,
He said, "Rosie I'm coming to get you very soon!"
As you closed your eyes we prayed that you would awake-
not knowing it was you final goodbye.
We should have told you we love you,but yet it was too late.
We made plans for you to spend just one more Christmas with us.
Instead you will be spending it with Christ.
I'm not angry you had to go.
I know you soul is finally at rest.
I'm thankful for the times we had together-truly we were blessed.
I hope in my years I can be as wise, smart, loving and nurturing as you.
I wish we could have told you just how much we love you.
I'm sure that you are happy that you will suffer no more.
You kept calling on the name of Jesus and he led you to Heaven's door.
Accepted by angels who so graciously welcomed you in.
We are comforted by the fact that you are surrounded by family and long lost friends.
I know in your own words that you would tell us not to shed a tear.
"Rejoice in the fact that I finally made it here!"
In loving memory of Rosie McTyere my grandmother.
