Jesus' Birthday Cake Story
The upside down pineapple cake for Jesus' birthday was
all symbolic and given by the Holy Spirit. I thought it was my idea
to make it as an upside down cake this year but after this message
came, now I don't know :-)
The upside down cake is topsy turvey until it is put into the heat and
baked unto completion. Like our lives that are topsy turvey until we are
fired to perfection,for He is the Potter and we are the clay.
The inside of the cake is white representing the purity of Jesus,the Lamb of God.
The pineapple slice has stripes in it to represent the stripes
Jesus bore for our healing. Pine is an evergreen and it means everlasting
just like His love for us. Apple is fruit as we are to bear fruit and also
partake of it for our health because it is said an apple a day keeps the doctor away in hopes for health to all in the New Year. The red cherries ,
more fruit represents the nails and piercings He took in His body ,
( I'd like to think to perfect our hands for His work and our feet to walk with Him ,the crown of thorns pierced His head for healing of our minds.
and the piercing in His side that punctured His heart To also renew our hearts )
We know that baking will cause browning which represents
the bruising he took for our iniquities too.The gift box here holding
the Happy Birthday Jesus represents the first and the greatest CHRISTmas gift ,which was Baby Jesus born to die for sins of mankind. Last but not least is the Cross.
For we know Jesus didn't stay a baby as we're to mature and not remain baby christians. As the cake baked it would rise, As Jesus did rise again and I too said it is finished as Jesus did on the Cross. Throughout the baking process it was being molded into the desired shape and perfection As He the Potter shapes and molds us into perfection.
When the process is all complete the cake is turned over showing the beauty and no more is it topsy turvey.This too represents our lives when we give our will over to Him .
He molds us into something of beauty. The Cross should be in the hearts and minds of all mankind for what it represents and what gift we was given that was waiting for us before our birth for the prophecy has been fulfilled. He was born , He died and He rose again as this cake yearly will be our ongoing family tradition . So as I end this story as given by the Holy Spirit ,I too also share these scriptures layed on my heart as well .
Jesus loves you and so do I !!!
