Rhythm and rhyme are parts of poetry
Overused words can sound like cliché I write for a purpose to give God glory Guiding others to the Truth and the Way This is a different style of writing for me I find it easier to rhyme the lines in pairs But change is good sometimes just to see Switching methods to evaluate and compare It is the message behind the words we write By reading poetry, you see the author's heart Discovering what is precious in their sight Touching you in ways that will never depart Like a small child who learns a new song There is special magic and joy on their face That you just want to join in and sing along It dispels any gloom surrounding that place Sharing the Bible in poetry brings excitement When God, the Author, is lived out in others It restores, lifts up, and is an encouragement Seeing the way it reaches out to one another 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV) Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. © Carol Salter 1/10/09 Vote for this poem
