Decreed by God
Those of whom God has known,
Before they existed;
Being of flesh and bone,
Like His Son consisted.
Maybe He be the first,
As a band of brothers;
And never to be cursed,
Rather to help others.
Justified and righteous,
In the joy of His name;
Not to be contentious,
But in glory proclaim.
What can we say of things,
If God has shown favor;
Who would have bad feelings,
Rejoicing forever.
Who will come in between,
Us and the love of Christ;
Now and always has been,
Never to be enticed.
It is God, who does make,
Us steer clear of evil;
And who will not forsake,
To lure towards the devil.
