Our Only Hope
Jesus
Christ sent me not to baptize,
Rather He sent me to preach;
Not using words that are wise,
But of the Good News to reach.
For fear of the cross of Christ,
Possibly of no value;
Without realizing the loss,
And what it means onto you.
For the word about the cross,
Seems sort of foolish to those;
Of whose lives filled with chaos,
Following where Satan goes.
But those who are on their way,
For salvation and to God;
We joyfully look to pray,
While we honor and laud.
As it says within His Word,
Wisdom of the wise will end;
Those with knowledge acquired,
Will have a sign He will send.
They will be the ones that know,
Of future events to cope;
And which direction to go,
To Christ our only hope.
