 Animal Souls

Mother and Baby

I heard it said within a church
By a minister of the day-
That animals they do not have souls
And not for anything can they pray-
Over my life I have seen the Care
For each other they can show-
When one of them passes away
Such love and devotion they do know-
Dedicated animal mothers I have seen
With even the elephant over time-
Caring more for their very own
Than some humans down the line-
I've seen an animal fade away and die
As a master had sadly passed away-
Nothing any could do to save it
It wanted to join them on the day-
Animal spirits have been seen
Over such a longest time-
Many worshiped in many places
For their devotion almost divine-
Endless stories could and can be told
How a devoted animal can show care-
To say animals they do not have souls
Never in my life would I ever dare-
