A white blanket has been smoothed across my garden
With spangles and jewels that shine
Virgin snow, as no-one has walked there
No memories that can be defined
My nose pressed against a chilled window pane
As a deep coldness plunges my vein
Crystals that fall from a mass of white sky
Music filters my heart with earthy strains
Harsh winter has connected me to Mother Nature
She who serves us delicacies known as snow
I waltz in her steps and surroundings
Knowing there is no better place to go
