afterthoughts (prose)

.
I suppose It was my fault for letting my heart go there again.
The way you kissed me promised things neither of us possessed
the capability to deliver.
Your eyes stealing parts of me I never shared before.
I promised myself It would be the last time.
The infinitive bond of your hands touching my face.
Not even a hint of goodbye.
All I could say was I love you and some random comment about the tempature
outside.
You smiled at the familiarity of it all.
Life made magical with simple moments.
I worried about this desperation building.
You reassured me you felt the same.
So desperate for a warm body.
The intensity of you apparent in every part of me.
 Anticipating your next move.
Love uttered carelessly.
Hearts excitedly awaiting whatever fate has in store.
Be careful with my soul ,
naieve as it broken,
it is the completion of yours.
