On this day my dear brother in Christ
Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. smiles down with his wife
Your dream at last has finally come true
For your service and life dream today I honor you
I pray that you will be a guardian angel and pray
For the nations new President Obama elected this day
I pray for unity to finally come to past
As your dream has come true ,at last ,at last
We are told to pray for our leaders in God's holy word
I pray that some changes can be made from the platform I heard
For although this is a day I embrace for mankind
I pray God's laws to be carried out for this nation of mine
I pray for the innocent blood still being shed
I pray for renewal of ungodly decisions first made
For all life is precious to our Creator above
And the aborting of babies is not walking in God's love
This is the one commandment that all others hang off of
If we fail in the love commandment we then break all
What will Jesus say when some fail to keep this one?
Only in keeping God's law can there be a blessed nation
What a beautiful portrait of the first family
Their love for one another is so plain to see
I pray for the Holy Spirit to guide decisions made
That the change will be for God's purpose every single day
Yes we've needed change and that is for God to be restored
It is for this reason that crime and corruption has grown more
Our forefathers ran this nation on God's written word
Our children now are rebellious from ungodly teachings heard
I pray for the first family that God's blessings pour out
That they can truly make a difference ,with God there's no doubt
It is He that is the strength and love this nation needs
And it is living by His word all mankind can succeed
God bless you Reverend King and your precious wife too

I pray the mighty hand of God will also lead and guide
