As I move motionlessly through the rubble-
The manifestation of buildings—destroy
I picture myself, my family engrossed within the rubble—
I am in shock-
For this is not my family-
These are families of mass-destruction-
Families whose innocence was taken unjustly-
I picture the images in still frame moments—
Images so shocking—so vivid-
Hatred runs deep within me-
As I converse with Malcolm—my friend-
We wonder do we have the right-
A right to report such devastation—
I believe so –
For I am journalist-
I am a realist-
I understand the essence of the truth-
I understand the catalyst of Mass-Destruction—
Therefore, the opportunity is there—to cease the moment
To be part of the solution-
And
Not the cause—
For reality is our trademark–
Our trade—our profession-
For I am a journalist-
