Home Is Where The Heart Is
There is no place like it the same
From fields of gold or streets untamed
It's close to heart, closer when farther
Away from those that call you father

Arms will wrap around real tight
Family sought after when dark are nights
This land you walk is not your own
Where evil reigns upon deaths throne

Soldier of fortune but not the kind
Of cash but cache of human minds
That live oppressed where liberty
Is snuffed out with humanity

Yet in your mind there is a place
Where you return begin to trace
Faces of those from whence you came
Family and friends, heartfelt this pain

Your tour of duty is now at hand
You've done your part to free a land
From tyranny if for today
Welcome back home for this we prayed

Dedicated to all of the women and men of the United States armed forces
