 Self Truths

Pain Irrevocable

You stand alone in a field
The flowers are stained with blood
I lay among the bodies
While everyone else draws their last breath
I close my eyes and feel the blood pooling
On top of my eyes more and more every second
You stare at me, don't see my chest move
You scream for me to wake up
I can't hear you, I'm too tired
You curse the sky and pound the ground
Hours later I open my eyes
You're laying across my chest
Tears leaving streaks down your face
I ask what's wrong
you lift your face and see me looking at you
Tears begin streaming down your face
I lift my hand and brush aside a strand of your hair
You say you thought I was dead
I look around and see what happened to this holy place
I can not remember the recently past events
When you tell me, I cry for my brethren
That is the last time I fought with peace
For that I love you and war
