From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
Electricity

Electricity moving through my veins
Ice through hers
Determined to melt it
Not sure when she'll realize
She's the only one keeping me sane

This thing trapped inside me
Yearning, begging to escape
She kisses me
My heart beats like an African drum
Pulsating an invitation for her to come

An urge to dance which she can't resist
Like my blood flow, the volume increases
The temptation continuing to persist
Taking her back to her roots
Next thing you know she's barefoot

A dance one can only describe as tribal
The beat, her rhythm, her heart and mine
All flow as one
The look in her eyes
Moonrise till sundown, we're still not done

Seems like some sort of possession
We try to get out of the spell
But like a puppet we've been mastered
Can't get out of this bottomless well
Not sure from this if we can get delivered

The ice turns to warm liquid
Producing a smile so exotic
She now realizes the power she has
Still no regard for my sanity
Ending the way we started, with Electricity
