Wishing...Wishing on a star so bright, See it glimmer, in the dark of night. Dreaming a dream, wishing it to be, There before us, for all to see! Wishing on a star so bright, Needing it to guide you in the dark of night, Wishing and hoping and praying it will, But that wish is all it is…the wish is still! Wishing for peace, for peace to reign, Will it ever come true, or will war remain? Hoping it stops, and the killing to cease, We can't ever lose hope, the hope for peace! Wishing on a wishing well… For pain to stop, no more life of hell! The hurt to go, the peace to return, An end to war, a lesson to learn! War should never have started, no, not at all, The world is vast; it's not a bit small! So why battle over land that we can share! This senseless warring; just isn't fair! Who wants killing and maiming to go on? Where oh where is the life of fun? Vanished out of sight, there'll never be world peace! Hark at this, we all need release!!! Release of the fighting, the arguing and pain! What is the outcome, what is the gain? The outcome is death, all over the land, Killed for the sake of peace the outcome not grand! For death and bloodshed the world over, Life shouldn't be like this, this war should be over! Not world war, but war throughout the land, Maybe now its time – for the people to make a stand! Stand up and shout; ‘Hey, this isn't what we need! We want the wars to stop, before the land turns to seed!' Blowing in the wind, death and pain… The outcome of war is, there's no-one to remain… Because the wars of the world carried on, and on, Until death comes to all – then life was done. Destroyed by man, his own self, the enemy of life! No more war, no more pain, no more strife. No more life! Genesis 6:7 The LORD said: "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky for I am sorry that I have made them."
