WALKING THE TREADMILL

Ok, I don't have control
Lifes turns and twists
Nurse looked at the screen
"Don't move I have to get the Doctor."
A little unnerving this.
"Have you ever had chest pains?"
"No!"
"A heart attack?"
"Not to my knowledge?"
Three things are going on
None of them seem to be good
When I talk of heaven
Of life after death
Tests show I have been there
It was not a dream I awoke from
long ago
I'm walking that treadmill
Prostate Cancer seems to be in remission
Guess I have to experience all
Starting today I will lose the extra pounds
I am not afraid of dying
I have been to heaven and come back
I want to see  my Grand kid's grow
Want to watch here not above
Dare I say for rhyme surely not below
Have to go for more tests
Ain't getting old hell?
Off for more blood work I go
