The Power of Words
Words of sinners are deceit,
Causing the upright defeat;
Destroying moral virtues,
In having of godly views.
The words of sinners are foul,
Being on a darkened prowl;
Filled with evil that distorts,
Just what the upright supports.
Deep within their hearts is cruel,
To make the righteous the fool;
By trying to twist the truth,
With being rude and uncouth.
The sin coming from the lips,
Will be causing them to trip;
Since the truth of God prevails,
That a sinner soon bewails.
Words of sinners are not wise,
Because the deceit and lies;
Will soon show their true colors,
To all the righteous brothers.
For God will watch over you,
To keep your moral virtue;
If your faith remaining strong,
And with Him where you belong.
