Poetry For Everyday People
Tell Me
We have our own
weather patterns,
chemical imbalances,
ways of understanding,
expressing,
our minds rain memories
on our hearts, life's
condensed accumulation
idles softly bleeding,
all of the sudden
we're in a lingering fog,
life,
as fountains call for peace,
a melody through time,
water washing memories,
back, some place safe,
and we go on as if perfect,
we go on without caution,
after all, what is invisible,
does not, have to be true,
life,
you don't ask a solider
if a wound hurts,
how does innocence
say no.
weather patterns,
chemical imbalances,
ways of understanding,
expressing,
our minds rain memories
on our hearts, life's
condensed accumulation
idles softly bleeding,
all of the sudden
we're in a lingering fog,

as fountains call for peace,
