 The Fried Toad

This is a story I've never told,
it's about my albino pink eyed toad.
One day I found him under a log,
I'd never seen a pure white frog.
So I caught him and took him with me,
so my father and brothers could see.
After I'd showed the latest rage,
I put him in our homemade cage.
This cage was made to hold fish in,
but had had many things trapped within.
One time it had two field mice inside,
soon there were many trying to hide.
Well back to where I was saying again,
about my frog and the cage he was in.
I made a fatal, terrible mistake,
I left my frog in the sun to bake.
I didn't know until I came home from school,
but let me say this to you as a rule.
If you ever should find an albino toad frog,
keep him out of the sun or leave him under his log.
