 The Pauper's Offer

I have nothing to offer but everything to give,
just take my hand and we'll learn how to live.
There's more than the material things you clutch so dear,
let my love and compassion remove all your fear.
Walk with me under skies of delight,
where our true love can light up the night.
Jump the hurdles of life that give you pain,
if you stumble on one my love will remain.
Yes, just a simple kiss is where it can start,
pucker your lips and open your heart.
Close your eyes and find peaceful bliss,
that bonds us together after our kiss.
I have not treasures or kingdoms nor rings,
all I can offer is the simplest things.
Things many never see in their life,
and die old and loveless without a wife.
