Tired of fighting your wars

Israel

Made guilty by crimes you committed
though I sinned not in fighting your cause
I am as you, the same… it's our history
but I will not be fighting your wars.
Children you now claim as targets
women and old ones die to
but never will I be complicit
in fighting this war that you choose.
Once you were great and admired
achievements' beyond your own dreams
I looked up and called you my leader…
how foolish of me so it seems.
You make every one of us a target
for atrocities done in our name…(?)
I beg of you not to kill young ones
for the Nazis did just the same.
You are as guilty as those that attack you
yet you claim your right to wage war
on children and old ones regardless
just to even the score.
You care not of the names that are dying
nor of the good hearts and good lives destroyed
to you they are all a part of this war…
though most… are just girls and boys.
Our army you force into conflict
as excuses… begging more aid
then our young boys and girls have to enter a world
as targets put on parade.
Where do you think war takes you?
how many dead are enough to take note?
there is no just cause for killing in wars
only greed for the power to gloat.
