Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god
Street Sweeper
The classic scene. Girl falls apart. Street sweeper pushes apart the pieces, spreads them to the side. Footsteps commence to grind them into smaller pieces. Where is her god now?
I'm stuttering over the melted parts of my heart, trying to convey myself and failing miserably. The hole in my soul becames wider, a hunger I cannot satisfy. Tonight, I sleep among the stars, a million eyes that cannot see.
I castrate my thoughts from my brain, put them in a glass jar. I give them to you. You will not give them back. I wonder if you'll break the jar and set them free, a man after my own smile. I shudder at the next step, because I crave it.
