Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

The fever engulfs me, swallows me in flames. I writhe at my own touch. I make my skin crawl off the bone. I am talking to myself and ripping apart the meaning in my life.
I am cold and I am weak. I hang my head, it's too heavy to hold. I'm shaking and there's a siren with grey eyes calling the council to order. I am fearful of what I can see, the dead more vibrant than the living. They call out words and numbers. I curl up into a ball and cry myself to sleep.
