I just got a phone call from one of my brothers, asking me how I was,
I was told everyone was asking how I was doing and that I was missed last night at the New Moon Sweat Lodge. That is some good medicine, that made me
grin... The Indian people of this world are so loving, giving, spiritual people, once they see you are not a fake person and all that you give is from your heart and soul, all is good.
The Medicine Wheel refers to a healing, a teaching, an enlightening...
Spiritual energy...
It encompasses the Four Directions, Four Grandfathers, Four Elements Earth, Fire, Air, Water) Four Races ( Black, White, Red, Yellow).
There is no common Lakota expression for the color placement of the medicine wheel. It is found that the color placement will vary based on individual band customs.
We the people have four aspects to our nature, four major realms of human existence.
North - The physical realm
East - The realm of knowledge & enlightenment
South - The spiritual realm
West - The realm of introspective thought
Spirituality is free.
These are some ways to get spiritually fit, a sweat lodge is for healing, or giving prayer for those who are suffering and sick, you can also pray by giving thanks for all you have in life...The god is of your understanding.
The sweat lodge is for cleansing ones body, to take all the bad and negative things out of yourself, it is also a way to get profoundly changed by the lodge experience. It is also used to to remove toxins from the body. Virus and bacteria will not survive at temperatures much higher than the common body temperature of 98.6 degrees.
Negative ions are released into the air and to counter fatigue and tenseness, and the endocrine glands are stimulated by the rise in temperature.
The sweat lodge is also for purification of ones, mind, body, soul and spirit.
If you have not tried one, give it a try, please ask your doctor first if you can go in one, it can get hot in there. How hot people ask me, I tell them as hot as it needs to get.
The people who have crossed my path, most are Indians or Sovereign people of this world, I was told by a powerful man, they are not Native to the land, nor are they Americans, the government labeled the Indians that way.
They are Sovereign or Indigenous people. I respect what I have been taught.
They love me and respect me for who I am. Just me. I am no greater than my Brothers or Sisters or anyone else... We are all related. Mitakuye oyasin...
