 The Castle
On a cloudy half lit night
One stepped from the carriage there~
And quietened the horses
In the haunting night air~
A castle it stood in a cloud of mist
Wet trees cried with heavy dew~
Distant birds washed by the heavens
In the half lit sky slowly flew~
The morning gently took hold from the night
Rays of grey light slowly took place~
As the castle became more so its own entity
Demanding more importance with its space~
As if romance and fantasy became so real
One stood upon high to watch this be~
And mentally paint a picture of such beauty
In ones mind , a painting of ecstasy~
The horses stired as breezes came about
And leaves from trees they danced~
And one stood looking at this castle so
As if caught within a momentary trance~
And the castle then regained its place
As light gave it life once again~
And still one stood in awe at this sight
Of this castle in cloudy morning fog and light rain~
