 Circles

The circle may be unbroken, but I am trapped inside
There are places I would go, I have no need to hide
The circle remains unbroken, holding friends so dear
Either enlarge the circle or let me the heck out of here....

May the circle please be broken, then more friends can enter in
May the circle ever expand so I can include each special friend
A broken circle may let some out, maybe they would rather leave
A broken circle will bring some in, this much I truly believe....

May the bond of friendship always be broken, or at least untied
Some would rather stay forever, others might prefer outside
Never hold friends too tightly, you might cut off all circulation
Speak kindly and tread lightly, friends don't need suffocation....

May the circle be ever pliable to handle each and every case
May it shrink when necessary or take up 100 times the space
Inside your sphere of influence, make all the circles that you can
While you're at it, make them extra large, for all your fellow man....
