Persuading Obedience
Please give an ear to what I tell,
So you do not wind up in Hell;
Pay attention so you may know,
Exactly which path you should go.
Open your eyes so you can see,
With living life really should be;
For what you do and what to naught,
Is precisely what I have taught.
You get wisdom from what is true,
Through life it will be helping you;
Keeping the rules going through life,
Always will help avoid the strife.
Because your mind will always thirst,
By remembering to put God first;
And keeping in mind of His Word,
All that you have read and have heard.
Read the Scriptures every day,
Guiding your steps in a straightway;
Your pathway will not be narrow,
Preparing your new tomorrow.
So when you run you will not fall,
When the Lord gives the final call;
Remember that you will not stray,
If you only learn to obey.
