OLD AGE

Sometimes old age isn't all the bad
Remember when I couldn't forget you?
In my heart I thought broken in two
Today I tried to remember your name?
The memories I had are not the same
Saw you the other day old and gray
Lost a few teeth your old age I'd say?
That pretty Blondie hair is now green
Put a little pudgy on no longer so lean
Remember when you said wasn't in your class?
Most of that weight has gone to your---past
Some day getting older is not all that bad
I'd say losing you I was lucky if I were a gad
I would have said hello but I've forgotten your name?
So that fat old man is the one who lit your flame?
Getting old really is not all that bad
Cause I can see living with you would be sad
