Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

A terrible decision

Just a handful,
They went down hard,
Like trying to swallow bricks.
The second time, I was smarter.
One at a time.
Swallow water.
Rinse and repeat.
A month of my life it took,
I can't even remember what
That month was like,
My soul was away from my body.
I kept it away.
I had no light.
I was empty.
I'm still empty.
