The Weight One Bares
Upon shoulders sometimes you'll bare
Much weight, a load sometimes unfair
It seems your life comes up just short
In eyes that judge and so distort
The you who comes with your game on
The girl some think you sit upon
A throne maybe above their kind
These so called friends both dumb and blind
Intelligence can be defined
A girl who speaks whats on her mind
Assertive you that takes command
So what if your a one girl band
Peer pressure will take it's shot
Maybe label you smart a snot
Their loss your gain is you remain
The person you GOD helps sustain
Impressive is your resume
The world is yours take charge and stay
For nothing short of pure success
Will come your way no more no less
The weight one bares is what you place
Upon life that you embrace
Just like this Ant with leaf in tow
You'll forge right past your so called bro's
Dedicated to my friend Ashley
