Crazy thoughts took hold of his mind
Branded with the stigma of poverty
His good sense of reason was blind
He searched for an ease to the torture
His prayer was for a chance to excel
Suffering was part of his birthright
Depression turned him into a rebel
Thoughts of his loved ones grew faded
He got caught in the waves of despair
Demons whispered to him of destruction
He rushed out lacking feelings of fear
In the house of a neighbour he entered
He cursed at their signs of wealth
Bitterness lead him on a rampage
He lay blame on the cards he was dealt
Unexpectedly cops caught him stealing
Shame washed him in a flood of disgrace
Before faces stone cold without mercy
He became just a next deliquent case
Behind prison bars he now languish
Dedicated to teach fellow inmates
He overcame what was meant for evil
In efforts to free himself of hate
