Marks of a New Life
Do not be surprised by the pain,
As trials and afflictions rain;
If as though something may seem weird,
How it inscrutably appeared.
It just may be your desire,
If faith is tested by fire;
Perhaps you tread down the wrong path,
To feel the effects of the wrath.
But be glad that you have a part,
In the pains of Christ in your heart;
You will be told the whole story,
Being revealed through His glory.
So that at the revelation,
It just may bring jubilation;
Knowing the reason you had strife,
That kept facing you through this life.
Life may have its ups and its downs,
For turning your smiles into frowns;
But rugged times will never last,
And will soon move into the past.
Then you will see a new day dawn,
To find the tribulation gone;
Patience will help if you abide,
In God having Him by your side.
