From A Humble Poet's Perspective

i see a two million dollar mansion
as a building made of brick, wood and GLASS
i look at the owner of an expensive sports car and ASK;
"how will you be able to stop
for a child or an elderly women
while driving so very FAST?"

as for diamond rings and gold CHAINS,
i see vampire FANGS
biting and sucking the economic livelihood
out of working class people's VEINS.

i see aristocratic arrogance as
the international dance of DOOM.
children of the sun must recognize and realize
the importance of the ultimate light,
which shine even during the night
by reflecting off of the MOON.
if we all decide to live life right,
our world will become a better place real SOON.

when i hear a wise man say; "i've heard it all!"
from a humble poet's perspective, he is no longer WISE.
the true philanthropist give to the needy
for the intrinsic sensation
and not just for the expectation of receiving a PRIZE.
rhyming lines from a humble poet's mind
is to influence those who have been asleep
to TRY and open your EYES.

instead of praising the greatness of others,
one must embrace the beauty in one's SELF.
instead of embezzling the money of a person
born into great WEALTH,
give thanks for the priceless gifts of freedom,
sanity and good HEALTH.

because of sexual predators and serial killers
parents are understandably OVERPROTECTIVE.
this is why we applaud anonymous heroes,
as well as public safety officers and undercover DETECTIVES.
to help raise awareness, as well as
our overall level of self consciousness
i offer Positive Poetry from a humble poet's PERSPECTIVE.
