Stolen title
Words to an unknown
Lover,
Child,
Divine Being
And they connect me
To this woman
Across time, space,
Across town
Across the universe
Poetry
Connects us all
And could
In an of itself
Be our Immortal Beloved…
Could it not?
Dearest,
Immortal Beloved,
You patiently wait for me
On satin white sheets
Ready to listen
For every word
That drips from my soul
As if it were sacred,
Intimate,
Worth the eternal wait
Until I can get to you.
Never will you scoff
Or correct me
A perfect ready embrace
Will I always find
In your loving
Arms…
Until you are filled
And can take no more,
Which you will
Never forsake
Nor forget.
You capture an essence
of my soul
Our soul
To exist past
This frail existence
Of flesh and form
To keep a piece
Of me alive forever
Until I and you
Are One
Immortal Beloved.
